Darwin.. inspired The Darwin Awards with his Origin of Species
theory of evolution... where the stupid of the human species (thus
inferior) weed themselves out of the gene pool by killing or
sterilising themselves 
but seriously, he was head of the scientific trip to the Galapagos
on the HMS Beagle to study the flora and fauna there and by
observing all the unique species there, he came up with the Theory
of Evolution...
which set off a shitstorm until now between the Creationists and
the Evolutionists...
